Meeting Minutes of August 26, 2015
Call to Order
Commissioner Mendez called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m.

YPC Members Absent: Chairman Dave Fonfara (excused), Vice -Chair Scott Clark

Staff Announcements
Supervising Planner Jeff Peters announced that changes to the draft ordinance for the 2015
Text Amendments have been made and printed out for the Commission. He also announced
that the applicant for CPA#005-15 - TM Rentals has submitted a modified proposal, which
has been provided to the Commission.

Follow-up Study Session: 2015 Text Amendments
Assistant Planner Trevor Martin reminded the Commission that this item was brought to
them at the last regularly scheduled meeting. He went on to explain additional changes that
have been made.
Commissioner Rose and Commissioner Anderson suggested striking "children" from
"children's outdoor recreational center" and striking "for children" from the definition.
Martin suggested striking "children's rides" from the definition as well. Commissioner
Cook suggested correcting the "clean and sober facility" definition to fix the verb tenses.
Peters provided background on the "clean and sober facility" name and definition.
Commissioner Cook asked for clarification regarding the home occupation internet
business. Discussion ensued regarding home occupation business administration rules and
regulations. Commissioner Cook corrected a typo on page 40 and requested to have the
information for Yakima County's fees available at the public hearing for the text
amendments. Commissioner Cook asked for clarification on the definition of "start of
construction' as it relates to building permits, to which Peters provided a detailed response.
