amendments to the Future Land Use Map for the 2015 amendment review process
they are:

URBAN AREA ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENTS
City staff is considering the need for Planning Division initiated zoning text
amendments. The following are the amendments to the Yakima Municipal Code
Title 15—Urban Area Zoning Ordinance, currently under consideration:
AMENDMENT 15.04.120 Permitted Land Uses—Home Occupations &
REQUEST 1: Table 4-2—Table of Permitted Home Occupations,
specifically amending the standards for Business
Administration in the residential districts.
AMENDMENT 15.04 Permitted Land Uses—Table 4-1 Permitted Land
REQUEST 2: Uses: Specifically allowing "Office Contractor Building
and Trade as a Class 1/Type 1 use in the Light Industrial
(M-1) and Heavy Industrial (M-2) Zoning Districts;
currently a Class 2 use in the M-1, and not permitted in the
M-2.

AMENDMENT Title 15 incorporating previous Hearing Examiner
REQUEST 3: Interpretations, including but not limited to:
a) UAZO-INTER #1-87: Modeling Schools as HO
b) UAZO-INTER #1-89: Adult Daycare
c) Dog Daycare Facility
d) Children's Outdoor Recreation Center
AMENDMENT 15.02 Amending the definition of "Kennel", specifically
REQUEST 4: defining a "kennel" as five or more dogs to fix
inconsistencies in the code.
AMENDMENT 15.06.060 Off -Street Parking and Loading—Location of
REQUEST 5: required spaces. Amending subsection (D) to state that
groups of four or more parking spaces shall be served by a
driveway... current practice and existing conditions
throughout the city provide that 3 spaces can safely back
onto a street, however, a fourth space would require
separation of spaces, or to be served by a driveway.
The Yakima Planning Commission (YPC) is responsible for the review of each request
and for recommending approval, modification or denial of each request. Public
Hearing(s) and review workshops are tentatively scheduled to be conducted by the YPC
on the above mentioned requests during the summer of 2015. Following YPC's review
for compliance, and in conjunction with the Rezone and SEPA requirements, the YPC
will forward a recommendation to Yakima City Council for the modification of the
Future Land Use Map land use designations, and the requested rezones, tentatively
scheduled to be conducted during the month of September 2015, for completion by the
December 31St, 2015, deadline for adoption.
