RESOLUTION authorizing the Chief of Police to execute the Addendum to Program -
Funded State and Local Task Force Agreement and Addendum to
Standard Provisional State and Local Task Force Agreement with the
United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration.
WHEREAS, the City and the United States Department of Justice through their law
enforcement agencies have maintained a cooperative working agreement designed to combat
controlled substance traffic within the City of Yakima, and
WHEREAS, the addendums provide for appropriate funding of positions which are subject
to the agreements between the City of Yakima and the United States Department of Justice, Drug
Enforcement Administration, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City to approve the
addendums, now, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The Chief of Police of the City of Yakima is hereby authorized and directed to sign the
Addendum to Program -Funded State and Local Task Force Agreement and Addendum to
Standard Provisional State and Local Task Force Agreement with the United States Department
of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration, which are hereby incorporated by reference

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The referenced addendums are minor revisions to agreements between the City of Yakima and
the United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration. The addendums
provide for appropriate funding of positions subject to the agreements between the City of
Yakima and the United States Department of Justice. The addendums are on file in the City
Clerk's office.
