PWFEREAS, Barbershop .7farmony Yakima has brought harmony to the Yakima valley for
67 years, and
ZLIEISEAS, the a(G-mace barbershop chorus features appro.(imately 20 singers between
the ages of 16 and 88 that harmonize big band, swing, and even some pop and rock "n" roll
songs; and
ZLIEISEAS, Barbershop .7farmony Yakima has been entertaining people and bringing
outside performers to expose local audiences to this American art form; and
ZLIEISEAS, the fationa(Bar6ershop .7farmony Society (also known as the Society for
the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America) was started
onApri(11, 1938 and is dedicated to the ideal of spreading this unique(yAmerican art form
across the country and around the world,• and
ZLEREAS, it is known that bringing men (and their families) together fosters
brotherhood and peace,
