The Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC) has awarded a grant to the
Yakima Police Department for cost reimbursement related to data entry into a statewide
database.

RESOLUTION NO. R -2018 -
authorizing acceptance of grant funding up to the amount of $100,000 for
cost reimbursement from the Washington Association of Sheriffs and
Police Chiefs (WASPC) for data entry into a statewide database.
WHEREAS, the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC) has
grant funds available to the City of Yakima in the amount of up to $100,000 to cover costs
associated with contributing data to a statewide database; and
WHEREAS, the grant authorizes the City to submit requests for cost reimbursement to
WASPC; and
WHEREAS, this grant will contribute to public safety through information sharing; and
WHEREAS, public safety is a primary priority of government; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The Chief of Police is authorized to execute the attached agreement with WASPC and to
accept the grant award of up to $100,000 in reimbursement for costs associated with the Yakima
Police Department contributing data to a statewide database.

INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT
SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS
WAGang Database Project
This AGREEMENT is entered into by and between the WASHINGTON ASSOCIATION OF
SHERIFFS AND POLICE CHIEFS (hereinafter referred to as WASPC) and the YAKIMA POLICE
DEPARTMENT (hereinafter referred to as the RECIPIENT).

FUNDING SOURCE
Funding for this AGREEMENT is provided to WASPC from the State of Washington. Funding awarded
the RECIPIENT shall not exceed the amount shown on the award letter.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The RECIPIENT shall use the funds awarded to meet the requirements identified in the award letter. The
required reimbursement requests will be submitted electronically by July 31, 2018. Funds will be disbursed
as requests are received. Reimbursement requests must be received by WASPC prior to grant payments
being issued to your agency.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, WASPC and RECIPIFNT acknowledge and accept the terms of this
AGREEMENT and attachments hereto, and in witness whereof have executed this AGREEMENT as of
the date and year written below. The rights and obligations of both parties to this AGREEMENT are
governed by the information on this Award Sheet and Letter and other documents incorporated herein.

Dear Chief Dominic Rizzi Jr
I am pleased to inform you that the Yakima Police Department has been granted $100,000.00 for the
population of the WAGang database.
The Washington State Legislature has provided one time funding to support a limited number of agencies
in the state to populate the WAGang database. The grant funds will be available through June 30, 2018.
All requests for reimbursement will be submitted electronically and due on or before July 31, 2018.
To receive the WAGang database grant funds your agency must submit timely requests for reimbursement
to WASPC and provide the following information:
• Did you accept and input data from other agencies in your region? If yes, which agency(ies)
• Total number of database entries for the reporting period
• Total number of hours worked during the reporting period
• Total dollar amount of reimbursement requested (maximum $75 per hour)
Please review the attached interagency agreement and return to the WASPC Office ASAP. If you have any
