The meeting convened at 10:05 a.m.
Council present: Bill Lover and Maureen Adkison
Absent: Holly Cousens and Avina Gutierrez (alt.)
Staff present: Sonya Claar Tee, City Clerk
Other: Jheri Ketchum, Arboretum and Tree City LISA Board Member
The Committee interviewed the following Tree City USA Board applicants for three vacancies: Justin
Bigby, Morgan Pualani, Lance Forsee, Daniel Layton and James Hertel. Chair Lover noted with their
extensive knowledge, education and background with trees, he moved and Adkison seconded to
recommend appointment of Lance Forsee and James Hertel to the one year terms, Daniel Layton to
a two year term and recently appointed Jheri Ketchum to a two year term. The motion carried by
unanimous vote.
The Committee reviewed applicants to the Planning Commission for a recent vacancy. Chair Lover
noted Mr. Liddicoat has a Master's degree in Architecture, which makes him very suited for this
committee. MOTION: Lover moved and Adkison seconded to recommend appointment of Jacob
Liddicoat to the Planning Commission. The motion carried by unanimous vote.
It was Committee consensus to appoint Chelsea Mack to the Henry Beauchamp Jr., Community
Center Advisory Board as recommended by the OIC Board. City Clerk Tee noted there is nothing to
report regarding the Board of Appeals vacancy.
