Meeting convened at 9:35 a.m.
Council present: Micah Cawley and Kathy Coffey
Absent: Maureen Adkison
Staff Present: Sonya Claar Tee
Council members reviewed applications for Boards and Committees and made the
following recommendations:
City of Yakima Planning Commission
Committee members discussed the importance of this selection due to the current
workload, and by consensus, decided to increase advertising to achieve more
applications for selection. They will meet again in two weeks to discuss.
Public Facilities Board
Coffey moved and Cawley seconded to appoint Ron Gamache to this Committee due to
his background and knowledge on the subject. Carried 2-0, Adkison absent
Arts Commission
Coffey moved and Cawley seconded to ratify the Capitol Theatre's appointment of Nora
Requena,
Parks and Recreation Commission—Youth Appointment
There were no applications to review. The Parks and Recreation Committee is working
with local high schools and YVCC to gather applications.
The meeting adjourned at 9:45 a.m.
