1) Review applications for the following Boards & Committees. News release and Council notified
on 7/25/17 and 8/29/17.
Historic Preservation Commission – 4 year term (2 vacancies expire 6/30/20 and
6/30/21 )
Applications on file:
o Jacob Clay (8/17 – current planner at Yakima County)
Requirements: The commission shall always include at least three professionals who
have experience in identifying, evaluating, and protecting historic resources
and are selected from among the disciplines of history, architecture,
architectural history, landscape architecture, historic preservation, planning,
folklore, cultural anthropology, prehistoric and historic archaeology, American
studies, curation, traditional building crafts, the practice of historic
rehabilitation or restoration, finance and banking, law, and real estate, or
related disciplines.
