News release and Council notified 4/18/17.  Arts Commission – 4 year term (2 upcoming vacancies) o Nora Requena, Capitol Theatre – confirmed by Council (not reapplying) o David Lynx, Larson Gallery – confirmed by Council (reapplied) o John Cooper, Community representative (not reapplying) o Erwina Peterson, Community representative (not reapplying) Applications on file: o Cynthia Busse Hall, Community representative (5/17) o Roger Luu Huynh, Community representative (9/16) o Dinah Reed, Community Member (8/16) o Bridget Russel, Capitol Theatre – confirmed by Council Requirements: f our to six community members, of which at least three shall be residents of the city of Yakima. The community members shall be from diverse backgrounds and shall have no vested interest in any particular art or cultural endeavor  Community Review Board – 3 year term (1 upcoming vacancy/1 term expiring) o Judy Pozarich, building industry (reapplied) o Richard Marcley, health community (not reapplying) Applications on file: o Mercy Buck, qualifies as health community member (6/16) o Cynthia Busse Hall, local resident (doesn’t qualify—already two members from business community) (5/17) o Terry Cook, (doesn’t qualify—already two members from business community) (7/15) o Shannon Bird, (doesn’t qualify—already two members from business community and local residents) (5/16) Requirements: members must represent different aspects of the public as a whole including local residents, the building industry, the health community, the business community, and the residential rental community, but not more than two from any of these.
