Gutiérrez 10 a.m. March 27, 2017 – CM Conference Room or Mayor’s Office 1) Interview Tree City USA Board applicants (3 vacancies):  10:15 a.m. Justin Bigby  10:30 a.m. Morgan Pualani  10:45 a.m. Lance Forsee  11 a.m. Daniel Layton  11:15 a.m. James Hertel Requirements: Five members, all residents of the city with the exception of the member recommended by the Yakima Arboretum, and city Arborist, who shall be appointed by the Yakima City Council. The seats of the board shall consist of at least two tree care specialists, with at least one seat filled through recommendation by the Yakima Arboretum. 2) Review Planning Commission applicants – one vacancy Applications on file:  Jacob Liddocat 3/17  Justin Bigby 3/17  Maria Giedra 7/16  Shannon Bird 5/16  Verlynn Best 1/16  Patty Dion 1/16  Terry Cook 7/15  Nicholas Arnold 4/15 Requirements: Six year term. Must be A) a City resident or B ) an owner of a business or real property that is located within the City of Yakima. Term Limitations: Two consecutive terms , may serve again after 2 years from end of second term. 3) HB Jr. Community Center – one vacancy Applications on file – Chelsea Mack (recommended by OIC Board) Requirements: Four year term. Appointees are based upon the recommendations of the Board of Directors. No term limit. Must reside within the city limits of Yakima 4) Board of Appeals – one vacancy Applications on file -- no applications on f ile that meet the criteria of a mechanical contractor or a developer. Requirements: Three year term. The board of appeals shall consist of seven members who are qualified by experience and training to pass on matters pertaining to building construction and are not employees of the jurisdiction, and who shall be appointed from the following areas: one architect; one engineer; one building and construction contractor; one developer; one representative 2 from the general public; one Washington State journeyman plumber; and one Washington state journeyman mechanical contractor.
