For Meeting of: February 20, 2018 Project completion and contact acceptance for Granite Construction Company - 2017 Pavement Repair Project (Standard Motion V -B -Accept the project and approve) Brett Sheffield - Chief Engineer - 509-576-6797 Scott Schafer, Public Works Director SUMMARY EXPLANATION: City Project 2437 provided for the construction of new sections of roadway on the northbound lanes of N. 16th Ave at the Cherry Ave intersection and of the eastbound lane of Mead Avenue at 14th Ave. The City contracted with Granite Construction Company for this project which also included curb, gutter, and sidewalk repairs. Final inspection for this project was made and the recommendation is that the project be accepted. A final payment of $2,316.95 (5% retainage) is due from the City to Granite Construction Company for the completion of this roadway project. Project Manager: Brett Sheffield Contractor: Granite Construction Company Contract Awarded: 5/31/2017 Contract Cost: $46,338.94 Retainage Due: $2,316.95 The total contract cost is for construction only and does not include engineering and other costs. City Council action is required to accept the project and approve the final construction costs.
