It is a program planning tool that provides a blueprint to strengthen program activities, address areas for improvement, and move the program forward to new accomplishments. If/Then ■ Action plan Programs/Activities (2 year priorities) that support strategies OPTION: HOW TO UPDATE THE STRAT PLAN • We use current council meetings and briefing to address specific parts of the plan • We schedule a Saturday for a potential retreat - March 10 or March 17 ® Do we want an outside facilitator? ® Deliverable will be. ® Vision Statement (why) ■ Priority Areas (2 year) (how) ® Committee Structure ■ Two year action plan (next steps) PROPOSED TIMELINE Agree on using current meetings for strategic discussions + schedule Saturdays + TODAY facilitator Ana receives ideas, suggestions, notes from Council. Incorporate these for meeting on 2/15/2018 20th 2/20/2018 Revisit 2015 vision statement and priority areas. Introduce new priority areas. 2/21/2018 Analyze priority areas: Vision + Impact OR revisit strategies from 2015 1 -Mar 2 Year action plan intro OR finish 2015 priority area analysis 6 -Mar Set agenda for March 10 retreat if needed: 2 year Action Plan + Committee Structure 15 -Mar Set agenda for March 17 retreat if needed or 2 Year Action Plan 20 -Mar Summarize Vision + Priority Areas + Action Plan + Committee Structure 29 -Mar Adopt Strategic Plan
