COUNTY BOARD Monthly Last Wednesday 8:30 a.m. * Enforce public health statutes per RCW 70.05.040. Supervise the maintenance of health and sanitary measures. Enact local rules and regs. Provide guidance on prevention, control and Exercise all authorities required by the State as member of governance body while integrating City's strategic goals and programs. Cliff Moore Capitol Theater Board Monthly 4th Monday 12:00 p.m. * Serve as liaison between venue and City to ensure communication and support of venue's impact on the City's vitality. Advocate for activities that benefit the city at large and promote economic and arts vision for City. Ana Cortez -Steiner * Chamber of Commerce. Quarterly 1 1:30 a.m. Promote dialogue and understanding of Business Community needs and City's efforts to maintain services, manage resources and plan for economic growth. Ex Officio- by virtue of council membership. Bridge knowledge base of City and business community. Advocate for business activities that are consistent with City's strategic vision. Ana Cortez -Steiner Community Integration * Public Trust and Accountability Promote activities and programs that increase transparency and accountability. Ana Cortez -Steiner Community Response Team/ Dispute Resolution Center Bimonthly January 27 and 28, 2018 / two day training * Dispute Resolution Center secured grant with support of City. Has requested two (2) council members to participate in training. TWO positions available for training. NA County Commission Coordination Monthly Thursdays * Coordinate City and County activities to leverage resources. Advocate for partnerships and coordinated efforts and use of resources with County. Cliff Moore Fish & Wildlife Recovery Board Varies * Restore sustainable and harvestable populations of salmon, steelhead, bull trout and other at -risk fish and wildlife City is signatory of an IAA and group implements the Yakima Basin Steelhead and Salmon Recovery Plan. Monitor activities that are consistent with City's contract and to identify maintenance issues. Per RCW 36.100.020(1)(b). Oversee access to state rebated sales tax revenues. Participate in the distribution of these funds to construct public facilities. Danny Agsalog SIED Board. Advocate for resources that benefit Yakima's business community. Ana Cortez -Steiner Solid Waste Advisory As Needed * Ensure environmentally sound, cost effective and efficient waste management systems for Yakima County. Implement authorities granted by RCW 70.95.1 67 regarding source separated materials. Provide input pertaining to the management of solid waste and environmental issues. Integrate City priorities into relevant programs, activities and discussions. Yakima Basin Water Resources Agency Board of Directors : Water Resources Advisory Committee (Steering) and Implementation Group Monthly * Restore the ecological integrity and assurances for water needs for irrigation, consumption, local and regional economic development. Oversees activities outlined in the Yakima River Basin Integrated Water Resources Management Plan. Advocates for activities that preserve and improve water quality, management and distribution.
