Council: Mayor Kathy Coffey via conference calI, Council Members Maureen Adkison

Staff: City Manager Moore, lncoming Assistant City Manager Cortez, Communications &
Public Affairs Director Beehler and City Clerk Clear Tee
Absent: Assistant Mayor Carmen Mendez (excused), Council Members Avina Gutierrez
(excused), Dulce Gutierrez (excused) and Bill Lover (excused)
2. Council updates
Mayor Coffey suggested the format and time of the Council briefings be discussed at a
future Council meeting, and stated even though there was no quorum, those in attendance
would go forward with the meeting.
Mayor Coffereported on the opportunity to go to Washington 00 regarding the Dream Act
and asked if there is a need for Council approval on further action. City Manager Moore
reported Council already approved this as a priority; therefore, this issue can go forward.
Council Member Cousens noted the Lighted Parade is Sunday at 6 p.m. Council Member
Adkison shared Pla7a donations are over $7.5 million and expects the full $9 million goal will
bHmet bythe deadline ofDecember 31.2O17.
Agenda preview for December 5 & 12, 2017
City Manager Moore reviewed the December5 and 12, 2017 agendas. Council
members discussed the WSU equity study. Council Member Cousens reported she will not
be able to attend the December 12, 2017, Council meeting.
4. City Manager update

December 12th; YPD update; Governor request; follow up from November 21 City Council

public comment; follow up on Council's questions about County funding for RCDR and 010;
and, Selah bus service.

The meeting adjourned at 5:56 p.m.
