1. Arthur motioned to adopt the agenda.
a. Tiffany seconded the motion.

2. Icebreaker: How was your weekend?

3. Arthur motioned to approve the meeting minutes from 9/11/2017 with the addition of note
"staggered start" to Item 6.b.3 per Brandy's suggestion.
a. Laura seconded the motion.
b. Unanimous approval.
4. Old Business
a. Feedback from City Council and NCBC
i. City Council seemed to like the power point. We should do this for the final
report.
ii. NCBC report went well. Supportive, not very much feedback.
Councilmember Mendez did ask if the survey was going to be one of the
main tasks of the future committee.
iii. Recommendation on survey (survey monkey vs. paper copies)
iv. Cost analysis: reassure that we're not asking for a big budget
v. Each strategy should list any costs
vi. Have a summary table with projected expenses in a separate section.
b. Acadamia America (RCDR), Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is already conducting
surveys. This committee will need to navigate in the future; who will they partner
with? How to work with organizations to get unbiased feedback directly from the
people?
c. Equity study undergoing validation. We should include a note in the references: at
the time of this report, the equity study was undergoing validation.
