pm on September 19, 2017, in the City of Yakima Council
Chambers to amend the Six -Year Transportation Improvement
Program (TIP)

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
This action would set September 19, 2017 as the date for a public hearing to amend the Six -
Year TIP. On June 19, 2017, a letter was sent by the Washington State Department of
Transportation notifying the City that we had received a state grant in the amount of $190,000
to acquire right of way for the East Nob Hill Boulevard/Fair Avenue Intersection project. An
amendment to the 2017 — 2022 Six -Year TIP is required to revise the funding source to the
number 15 priority project, East Nob Hill Boulevard & Fair Avenue Intersection
Improvements.

RESOLUTION NO. R -2017 -
fixing the time and place of a hearing for September 19, 2017 at 6:30
pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall to amend the 2017 through
2022 Six -Year Transportation Improvement Program.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima annually prepares, reviews and adopts a Six -Year
Transportation Improvement Program for the construction of streets and arterial streets in the
City of Yakima for the ensuing six year period, all as contemplated and required by State and
Federal law, and
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima has identified a need to amend the current Six Year
Transportation Improvement Program for the construction of streets and arterial streets in the
City of Yakima; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing must be held on said amended program before final
approval, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That said amended program shall be presented for hearing and determination on Tuesday,
September 19, 2017 at 6:30 PM on said day, in the Council Chambers of the City of Yakima,
at Yakima City Hall, Yakima, Washington, or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard,
and that notice of such hearing be given as approved by law.
