SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
Redevelopment of the Cascade Mill area and the related infrastructure including 1-82
improvements, local streets, utilities, and landfill environmental clean up is a significant economic
development priority for the City of Yakima and the entire County. This redevelopment project
involves many partners and a variety of funding sources. This study session will include the
following topics and speakers:
1. 1-82 Interchange and access improvements (Steve Lewis, Lochner Associates)
2. New City & County Streets and Utilities (Steve Lewis, Vern Redifer, Brett Sheffield)
3. Greenway, Multi -modal and neighborhood access (Steve Lewis)
4. Future Land Uses (Joan Davenport)
