1. Welcome and Introduction:
a. Arthur gave committee members extra time to read the agenda.
b. Arthur motioned to switch the order of agenda items 4.A and 4.B.
c. Laura Annstrong seconded the motion.
d. 6-0 vote to amend the agenda.
c. Arthur called for a vote to accept the agenda.
f. 6-0 vote to accept the agenda.
g. Icebreaker: How was your weekend? Arthur, Brandy, Rachel, Laura, Anita, Tiffany
2. Approval Minutes:
a. Arthur gave committee members extra time to review the minutes.
b. Arthur motioned to change the footnote to read, "Prepared by: Tiffany Pitra, rather
than Rachel Lierman."
c. Tiffany seconded the motion.
d. 6-0 vote to approve of the minutes with that change.
e. Tiffany will send Arthur a new copy of the minutes for his signature.
a. Presentation of Flow Charts
i. Arthur presented his flow chart on the integration lens on policy awareness
objective.
-Presented main ideas/strategies that he thought could be pursued: cultural
competency training, focus groups, and surveying/canvassing neighborhoods.
-He included some research on details (e.g. expense breakdown for each
strategy as well as reasons why canvassing districts can be beneficial)

integration, all to make the case that a committee is needed

-She broke down strategies and programs beneath each objective and posed
questions for considerations along each step.

b. The committee discussed how this chart also acts as a timeline.
i. June report will include facts/data, other city examples and data on benefits
of integration in order to make a case on the benefits of community
integration.
ii. The next report will cover strategies and vetted programs.
iii. The final report will make the case for or against a permanent committee.
c. Discussion for meeting agenda, May 31, 2017
i. The committee decided to start drafting the June report by compiling data
into three categories. The categories are listed below, with the point person
designated beside. Committee members are asked to send concise data points
to the point persons at their earliest convenience. The point persons will draft
paragraphs for the June report and will share them at the meeting on May 31.

Signed off on by the 12th at committee meeting
Submitted by the 13th
Arthur will give a verbal report on June 20 to highlight main points.
It was proposed that the final report be submitted by September 2017. This has
not been finalized yet.
