6. Consent Agenda
Items listed are considered routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion without
discussion. A citizen or Council member may request to remove an item from the Consent Agenda and, if
approved, it will be placed on the regular agenda for discussion and consideration.
A. Set April 18, 2017 as the date for a public hearing to consider the Yakima Planning
Commission's recommendation concerning text amendments to Title 15 Yakima
Urban Area Zoning Ordinance, related to the sign code and definition for multi-family
dwelling
B. Resolution adopting the January 2017 Yakima County Solid and Moderate Risk
Waste Management Plan
7. Audience Participation
Community members are invited to address items that are not listed on the regular business meeting
agenda. A guideline of three (3) minutes per speaker is in place in order to allow as much opportunity as
possible for audience participation. A speaker's time may be extended at the discretion of the Mayor
and/or the consensus or vote of the Council. Written communication and e-mail messages are strongly
encouraged.

8. Resolution approving an interlocal agreement with the Yakima Police Department and the
Washington State Patrol, the Yakima County Sheriff's Office and Police Departments for Union
Gap, Grandview, Selah, Sunnyside and Toppenish to jointly cooperate through a Yakima Valley
Special Investigations Unit for investigations of certain incidents
9. Resolution authorizing the emergency purchase of stormwater infrastructure and installation
services not to exceed $200,000, required prior to the repair and reopening of 66th Avenue
between Scenic and Englewood Avenues
10. Ordinance amending the 2017 Budget (First Reading)

The City provides special accommodations, such as hearing devices, wheelchair space or
