R-2008-112 A RESOLUTION to amend the Yakima Urban Area Comprehensive Plan Capital Facilities Element to incorporate the Six-year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the period of 2009 through 2014 WHEREAS, the City of Yakima annually prepares, reviews and adopts a Six Year Transportation Improvement Program for the construction or repair of streets and arterial streets in the City of Yakima for the ensuing six year period, all as contemplated and required by State RCW 35.77.010 and applicable Federal law; and WHEREAS, the City of Yakima desires to amend the Yakima Urban Area Comprehensive Plan Capital Facilities Element to reflect the adoption of the 6 -Year TIP, as contemplated and required by RCW 36.70A.070(6) to ensure compliance with the Growth Management Act and consistency of the Comprehensive Plan and the 6 -Year TIP; and, WHEREAS, this amendment is limited to incorporation of the projects listed in the 6 - Year Transportation Improvement Plan for the period of 2009 to 2014 to the Capital Facilities Element of the Yakima Urban Area Comprehensive Plan, which is contemplated and provided under RCW 36.70A.130(2B) and RCW 35.77.010; and, WHEREAS, public hearings have been held by the Yakima City Council on the 6 - Year TIP on July 1, 2008 and again on July 15, 2008, with proper public notice as required by RCW 35.77.010; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: The adopted 6 -Year Transportation Improvement Program for the period of 2009 through 2014 for the City of Yakima shall be incorporated as an amendment to the Capital Facilities Element of the Yakima Urban Area Comprehensive Plan.
