A RESOLUTION declaring a 2001 Ford Excursion Lic# 30592D to be surplus to the needs of the
City of Yakima and the Fire Department and authorizing sale of the vehicle by
whatever means determined appropriate by the City Manager.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima owns one Ford Excursion Lic# 30592D which has been
damaged by fire and for which the City and the Fire Department has no foreseeable use and which is
surplus.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the City to sell said
vehicle therefore.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Council hereby declares the aforementioned Ford Excursion to be surplus to the
needs of the City of Yakima and the Fire Department and the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to sell said vehicle by whatever means he determines to be appropriate.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The Yakima Fire Department has a 2001 Ford Excursion that has been damaged by
fire. This vehicle will be offered for auction/sale by a means deemed appropriate by the
City Manager, such as "e -bay", "Public Surplus", local auction or sealed bid. Funds
realized from the sale would be credited to the Yakima Fire Department's equipment
replacement account, (Capital Fund).
