SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
As an expected consequence of implementing the refuse automation program, the Refuse
Division has three non -automated type refuse trucks that no longer satisfy the current needs
of the City Yakima and should be removed from the fleet. In any event, these vehicles are
more than seven years old and have served the City's manual program well, but are no longer
needed.
These trucks will be used in trade for the 2007 automated refuse truck acquisition and the
proceeds will reduce the total capital requirement.
