The City of Yakima Transit Division has two 1987 Gillig Phantom 29 -passenger transit buses
that were acquired in 2004 from Island Transit as an interim measure to cover Yakima
Transit's needs while new buses were being ordered, manufactured and delivered. Yakima
Transit no longer needs these two buses. Asotin County PTBA has submitted a letter of intent
to purchase these two buses and spare parts. They plan to incorporate these buses into their
fleet and wish to take delivery soon.
Staff respectfully requests that the two 1987 Gillig Phantom 29 -passenger buses be declared
surplus and sold to Asotin County PTBA for $6,000 as detailed in the attached letter. Please
