R-2006- 74 A RESOLUTION declaring al 992 Isuzu/TMT Pathway Paint Striper to be surplus to the needs of the City of Streets Division, and authorizing its trade-in to TMT Pathway. WHEREAS, the City of Yakima owns one used 1992 Isuzu CH one -ton cab and chassis with a TMT pathway paint system mounted on it with vehicle identification number JALE5VB1U7N3000408 for which the City and the Streets Division have no immediate or foreseeable use and which are surplus to the needs of the City and the Streets Division; and WHEREAS, the City of Yakima Purchasing Division performed a formal sealed process to purchase a replacement paint striper, and TMT Pathway was deemed to be the most responsive and responsible bid received, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the City to trade-in said striper to TMT Pathway for $15,000 now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: The City Council hereby declares the aforementioned 1992 Isuzu/TMT Pathway Paint Striper to be surplus to the needs of the City of Yakima and the Streets Division, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to trade-in said striper to TMT Pathway for $15,000. The Purchasing Division performed a formal sealed bid process to purchase a replacement paint striper, and offered the trade-in as part of the bid. TMT Pathway had the most responsive and responsible bid received, and the bid is in the process of being awarded to TMT Pathway. The trade-in amount of $15,000 will be deducted from the Purchase price of the new unit, which is $194,191. Staff respectfully requests that the above mentioned paint striper be declared surplus and be traded in to TMT Pathway for $15,000.
