A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the City Manager of the City of Yakima to
execute an easement deed to Nob Hill Water Association.
WHEREAS, the Fire Department is expanding by adding living quarters to the
building located at 7707 Tieton Drive; and
WHEREAS, there is an existing fire hydrant with a water line that would be under the
added structure; and
WHEREAS, the water line needs to be relocated as to not be underneath any
structure; and
WHEREAS, the easement deed will relocate the waterline and hydrant to meet this
need, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the attached
easement deed relating to a Nob Hill Water Association water line.

FOR A VALUABLE CONSIDERATION, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged,
GRANTOR, City of Yakima, a Washington municipal corporation, hereby grants and conveys to
GRANTEE, Nob Hill Water Association, a Washington non-profit association, a water line
easement under, over, through and across the property described as follows:
The Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 20, Township 13
North, Range 18 East, W.M. described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the south line of said subdivision, 775 feet East
of the Southwest Corner thereof; thence North at right angles to said south line 40
feet to the north right of way line of Tieton Drive as conveyed to the County of
Yakima by Deed recorded June 13, 2002 under Auditor's File No. 7278294
Records of Yakima County, Washington; thence West along said north right of
way line 5 feet to the point of beginning of the herein described Easement; thence
East along last said right of way line 75 feet; thence North at right angles to said
right of way line 5 feet; thence West, parallel with and 5 feet north of, said right
of way line 75 feet to a point that is 5 feet North of as measured at right angles to
said right of way line and the point of beginning; thence South 5 feet to the point
of beginning.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF this easement deed is executed as of this 30th

SUMMARY EXPLANATION.
The Management Staff of the Yakima Fire Department proposes the granting of an easement
to Nob Hill Water Association by Easement Deed.
The Fire Station 92 Addition Project at 7707 Tieton Drive will require the relocation of an
existing fire hydrant and water main that is currently located within the area of construction. It
is necessary to provide Nob Hill Water Association with an easement parallel with Tieton Drive
for the purpose of relocating the water main and hydrant. The attached "Easement Deed" will
grant this easement, which will allow the hydrant relocation to occur.
