A RESOLUTION declaring a 1994 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
VIN#1G1YY22P4R5106980 to be surplus to the needs of the City of
Yakima and the Yakima Police Department, and authorizing the sale
of the vehicle by whatever means determined to be appropriate by
the City Manager, such as "e -Bay", local auction, or sealed bid.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima owns one used 1994 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
VIN#1G1YY22P4R5106980 for which the City and the Police Department have no
immediate or foreseeable use and which are surplus to the needs of the City and the
Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the 1994 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe VIN#1G1YY22P4R5106980 forfeited
to the City, Police Department and Yakima City County Narcotics Unit through drug
forfeiture laws and sale proceeds from said vehicle must be used solely for drug
investigations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the City
to sell said 1994 Chevrolet Corvette by whatever means determined appropriate by the
City.Manager, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Council hereby declares the aforementioned 1994 Chevrolet Corvette
Coupe VIN#1G1YY22P4R5106980 to be surplus to the needs of the City of Yakima and
the Police Department, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell
said 1994 Chevrolet Corvette by whatever means he determines to be appropriate such
as "e -Bay", local auction, or sealed bid.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
The Yakima Department has a 1994 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
VIN#1G1YY22P4R5106980 that has been replaced as an undercover narcotics vehicle and is
excess to the Department's needs. This Depar intent would like to offer the vehicle for auction
or sale by a means deemed appropriate by the City Manager, such as "e -Bay", local auction or
sealed bid. Funds realized from the sale will be credited to the Yakima City County Narcotics
Unit's account with the Yakima County Treasurer's Office as according to law as this vehicle
was seized in a narcotics investigation.
