This property was formerly part of the Wastewater Sprayfield adjacent to K -Mart. The City has obtained an independent appraisal of the property, which indicates a fair market value higher than what the State has offered. While a final determination as to appropriate value is yet to be negotiated, it is in the best interest of the City to grant immediate possession and use of the properties to the State of Washington to enable the preparation, and if necessary, construction of roadways and other improvements at the interchange of I-82 and SR 24 pending a determination of fair market value.
