ITEM TITLE: Recognition of the retiring Senior Community Relations Specialist
Ken Crockett

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
Ken Crockettjoined the City of Yakima in May 1999, nearly 18 years ago, after a career in radio
and television news, including more than two decades as a reporter at KI MA TV in Yakima.
Initially hired as the City's Municipal Producer, Ken was promoted to the position of Community
Programming Coordinator in April 2002, Cable Television Coordinator in February 2004, and
Senior Community Relations Specialist in January 2013.
Ken's contributions to the City and the Yakima community are many and varied. He has made a
tremendous impact on the Community Relations office through his outstanding work ethic, unique
knowledge of Yakima, and unwavering commitment to serve the community.
Ken will retire from the City at the end of February. We wish him all the best.
