ATTEST: City Clerk Tree Removal Sweetgum 110 No 2 St.rtf Ms August 27, 2002 Council Members Yakima City Council 129 N 2nd Street Yakima, WA 98901 Dear Council Members, I have been a local business owner for more than 20 years in the downtown Yakima area. Many things have changed in that time. One of those changes is the point of this letter of request. As I'm sure most other business owners do, I enjoy the trees and plants on the parking strips and corners of downtown streets. However, I must respectfully request the removal of one of those trees. It is directly in front of my place of business at 110 N 2nd Street, and now obscures my business sign. I've received several complaints from new customers that they cannot see my business sign when they are trying to find our location. I ask, please, that the City Council act in a timely manner regarding my request for removal of this tree. Sincerely, 1 i 1{„attt.4.____-- Terry Pell, Owner Instant Press • • • MEMORANDUM To: Denise Nichols, Parks & Recreation Manager From: Randy Murphy, Parks Superintendent/Arborist Date: August 27, 2002 Re: Tree Removal Ms. Terry Powell of Instant Press has requested the removal of one Sweetgum tree located in front of their business at 110 North rd Street.
