Gutierrez Staff: City Clerk Claar Tee Guest: John Cooper, President and CEO of the Yakima Convention Center 1) The Committee reviewed the applications for the Lodging Tax Committee. After discussion, it was Committee consensus to reach out to hotel/motels in the North First Street area to see if they would be interested in submitting an application. City Clerk Claar Tee provided an update on the Henry Beauchamp Community Center Advisory Board and Police & Fire Civil Service Board. 2) Other Business — None 3) Adjournment—the meeting adjourned at 1:50 p.m. by consensus. Bill Cover, Chair K�� NOMINATING COMMITTEE - ' Tuesday, December 6, 2016 -- Mayor's Office Meeting called to order by Chairman Lover at 1:46 p.m. Present: Council Members Lover and Cousens Absent: Alternate: A. Gutierrez Staff: City Clerk Claar Tee 1) The Committee reviewed the applications for the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. Council Member Lover reported he reached out to a manager of a North First Street hotel, who was not interested in applying. City Clerk Claar Tee noted John Cooper of the Yakima Convention Center reached out to other hotels and the City has received a new application from Steve Rice with the Yakima Valley Hotel & Convention Center, Council Member Lover noted Mr. Rice lives in Idaho, and although he appreciates his int8[GSt, he feels the Committee members need to be more involved in Yakima. MOTION: Cousens moved and Lover seconded to reappoint Colette Keeton with Howard Johnson and Lisa Valljo with the Hilton. The motion carried by unanimous vote. 2) Other business -- None 3) Adjournment—the meeting adjourned at 1:55 p.m. by Committee consensus,
