A RESOLUTION ratifying and approving a permit application for a fireworks display on
October 16, 1998, and waiving the application fee of $50.00 for Eagle
Fireworks, Inc., the Eisenhower High School Booster Club, Eisenhower
PTSA, and Eisenhower High School ASB pursuant to Yakima Municipal
Code Section 10.15.040.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 10.15.040 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code, Eagle
Fireworks, Inc., on behalf of Eagle Fireworks, Inc., the Eisenhower High School Booster Club,
Eisenhower PTSA, and Eisenhower High School ASB, applied for a permit for a public display
of fireworks at Eisenhower High School scheduled on October 16, 1998 and requested a waiver
of the $50.00 permit application fee; and
WHEREAS, the application was filed on October 10, 1998, for an event to be held prior
to the next City Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, due to the time limitations, the City Manager granted the permit
application and fee waiver subject to ratification by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of Yakima to
grant the permitapplication and waive the $50.00 application fee for Eagle Fireworks, Inc., the
Eisenhower High School Booster Club, Eisenhower PTSA, and Eisenhower High School ASB,
pursuant to Yakima Municipal Code Section 10.15.040, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The permit application for a fireworks display on October 16, 1998 and request for a
waiver of the $50.00 permit fee of Eagle Fireworks, Inc., the Eisenhower High School Booster
Club, Eisenhower PTSA, and Eisenhower High School ASB are hereby ratified and approved.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
A resolution ratifying City Manager approval of a fireworks display show at Zaepfel
Stadium on October 16, 1998, waiving the $50 permit fee. YMC 10.1.040 and
10.15.065.
Eisenhower High School applied for a special fireworks permit on October 13, 1998 for a
fireworks display to be held during half time at the homecoming football game. The
event was to be held prior to the next City Council meeting. Based on previous years
annual homecoming fireworks events a verbal approval was granted.
Plans and specifications, as well as evidence of insurance are on file in the Office of
Code Administration.
