R-98 - 65 A RESOLUTION adopting an amended Six Year Transportation Improvement Program for the period of 1998 through. 2003 for the construction of streets and arterial streets in the City of Yakima. WHEREAS, the City of Yakima annually prepares, reviews and adopts a Six Year Program for the construction of streets and arterial streets in the City of Yakima for theensuing six year period, all as contemplated and required by State and Federal law, and WHEREAS, the City of Yakima has identified a need to amend the current Six Year Program for the construction of streets and arterial streets in the City of Yakima for 1998; and WHEREAS, after a public hearing on the matter, held at a regular meeting of the Yakima City Council on May 19, 1998 the City Council finds that the plan attached hereto should be adopted as the Six Year Transportation Improvement Program for the period of 1998 through 2003 for the construction of streets and arterial streets in the City of Yakima, now, therefore. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIr1A: • The Six -Year Construction Program for the period of 1998 through 2003, a copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, is hereby adopted as the official Six Year Transportation Improvement Program for the City of Yakima. This plan must include all transportation projects for which state gas tax revenue or federal revenue will be used. The existing approved plan for 1998 - 2003 does not list the 1998 Street Overlay projects as funded. The existing plan must be amended to allow expenditure of Federal Funds on these projects. This proposed amendment to the Six -Year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) changes only the overlay projects to "FUNDED".
