R-97- 134 A RESOLUTION approving a permit application for a fireworks display on October 24, 1997, and waiving the application fee of $50.00 for Eagle Fireworks, Inc., the Eisenhower High School Booster Club, Eisenhower PTSA, and Eisenhower High School ASB pursuant to Yakima Municipal Code Section 10.15.040. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 10.15.040 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code, Eagle Fireworks, Inc., on behalf of Eagle Fireworks, Inc., the Eisenhower High School Booster Club, Eisenhower PTSA, and Eisenhower High School ASB, applied for a permit for a public display of fireworks at Eisenhower High School scheduled on October 24, 1997 and requested a waiver of the $50.00 permit application fee; and WHEREAS, the application was filed on October 14, 1997, for an event to be held prior to the next City Council meeting; and WHEREAS, due to the time limitations, the City Manager granted the permit application and fee waiver subject to ratification by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of Yakima to grant the permit application and waive the $50.00 application fee for Eagle Fireworks, Inc., the Eisenhower High School Booster Club, Eisenhower PTSA, and Eisenhower High School ASB, pursuant to Yakima Municipal Code Section 10.15.040, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: The permit application for a fireworks display on October 24, 1997 and request for a waiver of the $50.00 permit fee of Eagle Fireworks, Inc., the Eisenhower High School Booster Club, Eisenhower PTSA, and Eisenhower High School ASB are hereby approved. In addition, the application shall submit a Certificate of Insurance in an amount not less than Fifty Thousand Dollars and One Million Dollars for each person and event respectively.
