Dear Glenn:
P.O. B
I ED
CITY OF YAKIMA
JUN 161997 I
Per our discussion at yesterday morning's Yakima Center Advisory Committee
construction progress meeting, we are requesting the following on behalf of the
project:
"Removal of two trees within the public right-of-way, directly to
the east of the existing building's east entry."
We are, as you know, hoping to replace the existing "Bomanite" concrete sidewalk
at the existing east building entry, in part due to the uplift damage of mature tree
roots along North 8th Street. We would hope to stop future damage to the
replaced sidewalk by removal of the two trees. We will suggest another type of
lower scale plant material, to be placed in the same location as the removed trees.
I understand from yesterday's meeting that this request for tree removal must
proceed through City Council review and approval. Will you please advise me if
you need further information in order to present this request to the City Council.
Sincerely,
BAC/trc
