R-97 15 A RESOLUTION authorizing the City of Yakima to participate in the Local Government Surplus Equipment Program. WHEREAS, R.C.W. 39.33.010 authorizes any political subdivision to sell any surplus equipment to other political subdivisions on such terms and conditions which may be mutually agreed upon, and, WHEREAS, the City of Yakima desires to participate in the Local Government Surplus Equipment Program; and the City Council of the City of Yakima deems it to be in the best interests of the City that such a program be utilized, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: The City of Yakima is approved to participate in the AWC Local Government Surplus Equipment Program. This program connects local governments that need equipment with local governments that want to sell equipment. AWC has recommended city council's prior approval to allow the City of Yakima to participate in this program.
