ATTEST: CITY CLER UCHANAN, YOR 1997 FEE SCHEDULE YAKIMA PARKS & RECREATION DIVISION EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1,1997 CONTRACTED SERVICES: Organizations, (associations, clubs, groups, etc.) contract with the City of Yakima Parks & Recreation for services such as facilities reservations and scheduling, maintenance, supplies, administration, etc. The organizations pay for these services. PROGRAM FEE FORMULA: In determining fees for services and programs, the following formula will be used: 1) Program personnel wage and benefits *X total program hours; alm 2) Facility cost per hour X total program hours; pas, 3) Depending on the particular program, the following costs will be included as needed: a) Special Equipment d) Insurance g) Other b) Material e) Maintenance c) Transportation f) Program Promotion plus 4) Administration of program (at least 10%) of total costs); equals 5) TOTAL COST OF THE PROGRAM divided 6) Minimum number of participants. (Minimum and maximum number of participants is based on facilities, appropriate student/instructor ratio, safety limits, and is determined by the supervisor and/or instructor. equals 7) FEE FOR EACH PARTICIPANT *Wages or salary may be calculated by the hour or by the unit (i.e., game, match, etc.). TAXES: Sales or other taxes will be charged when appropriate. In some cases, tax is included in the stated fee. PROGRAM DISCOUNT FOR CITY OF YAKIMA RESIDENTS: As a benefit to CITY OF YAKIMA RESIDENTS who participate in the following Parks & Recreation Programs in 1997, a discount of approximately 20% will be offered. Discounts apply to the following areas: a. Special Interest Classes for both Youth and Adults b. Fisher Golf Lessons c. Swimming Lessons d. Youth Sports. ADDITIONAL ADULT SPORTS FEE FOR NON -CITY RESIDENTS: For the following Adults Parks & Recreation Sports Programs, all non -City residents wishing to participate in Parks and Recreation Sports Leagues will be charged an additional registration fee of $5.00. a. This deposit will be applied to the total rental fee. This fee is non-refundable for canceled reservations. Parks & Rec. 1997 Fee Schedule S CH WPC Description 1997 Fees . Senior Citizens Tours Program Fee Formula Crafts - Miscellaneous Program Fee Formula Annual Voluntary Subscription to the Monthly Bulletin $8.00/year Tournaments Program Fee Formula Senior Center Rentals: Sr. Citizen Club & Organi7ations that use the facility during normal operating hours No Charge ' Outside Rentals: Fees will cover all administrative and facility costs per hour and is competitive with other community facility rental fees. Basic kitchen and supervision included. Listed fees do not include tax. Parks & Rec. 1997 Fee Schedule S CH WPC Citizens or groups wishing to schedule a community Special Event in one of the City's Parks will be required to pay a fee to cover additional maintenance costs such as refuse and garbage services, litter pickup, additional restroom cleaning, etc. Fees will be based on anticipated attendance. Special Event fees for 1997 will be as follows: 300 or less participants - $25 Over 300 participants - $50 The Special Event Fee will be collected when reservations are confirmed. *New fee for 1997 C NcESS:[f3 TATA ;PF4YTiT Citizens or Groups wishing to sell concessions in the Parks will be assessed a yearly fee of $100. The Parks and Recreation Manager will have the authority to authorize vending in certain parks according to Parks and Recreation Division policy and procedures. Parks & Rec. 1997 Fee Schedule 6 CH WPC REFUND POLI 4 Yakima Parks & Recreation reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or combine any of its activities as needed. I Should Parks & Recreation cancel an activity, participants will be notified by phone and a full 100% refund will be automatically initiated. 4 Participant -requested refunds will be granted up to three days before the registration deadline unless stated otherwise. 4 Participant -requested refunds need to be accompanied by receipt. .4 Participant -initiated refunds will be assessed at $5 processing fee per activity per person. 4 No refund will be given for activities with a $5.00 fee or less. 4 Additionally, Parks & Recreation is unable to give cash refunds, partial or pro -rated refunds or refunds after activity deadlines. 4 All refunds are subject to City of Yakima Finance Department procedures and payment schedules and require 15 to 30 days to process.
