A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of real property, known as Fire Station
Number Three, located at 3418 W. Summitview Avenue, Yakima,
Washington.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima owns the real property known as Fire Station
Number Three, located at 3418 W. Summitview Avenue, Yakima, Washington 98902,
which real estate property is surplus property for which the City has no
foreseeable use. Such real estate property should be sold in the manner most
advantageous to the City, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Manager of the City of Yakima is hereby authorized and directed to
dispose of surplus real property owned by the City by selling said property using
a concealed bid process. The minimum sales price shall be 125,000.00. Such sale
shall be at a time and place and in the manner determined by the City Manager to
be most advantageous to the City. The City Manager is further hereby authorized
to incur the necessary and reasonable expenses incidental to such sale, with the
cost of such sale to be paid from the proceeds thereof, and to take any and all
other reasonable and prudent actions to complete the purchase.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
Request for authorization to dispose of the real estate property and building located
at 3418 Summitview Avenue, also formerly known as Fire Station #3. A complete
legal description and parcel number of the subject real estate are included in the
attached papers. The sale is to be conducted in a concealed Bid process, with Sue
Ownby, Purchasing Agent, coordinating the R.F.P. (Request for Proposal). A
minimum bid price of $125,000 is to be attached to the R.F.P. Any expenses incurred
in the sale of this real property are paid for from the gross proceeds. The net proceeds
are deposited with the Treasurer's Office and distributed, as previously determined,
into the Fire Capital Fund.
