RESOLUTION NO R-96 l43
approvingthe fireworks display permit and waiving the
application fee of $50 00 for the ASB Leadership Council of
Davis High School pursuant to Yakima Municipal Code
Section 10 15 040
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 10 15 040 of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code, Pyro Spectaculars NW on behalf of the ASB Leadership Council of Davis
High School applied for a permit for a public display of fireworks at Davis
High School scheduled on October 25, 1996 and requested a waiver of the
permit fee, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City
of Yakima to waive the $50 00 application fee for the ASB Leadership Council
of Davis High School pursuant to Yakima Municipal Code Section 10 15 040,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA.
The request by the ASB Leadership Council of Davis High School for
waiver of the $50 00 fireworks display permit application fee for student
organizations pursuant to Yakima Municipal Code Section 10 15 040 is
hereby approved

APPLICATION FOR PERMIT FOR PUBLIC DISPLAY OF
FIREWORKS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA
The undersigned does hereby apply this date / C --r1- for a
permit for public display of fireworks. The applicant shall provide a
detailed site plan of the exact location of the display, along with the
signature of the property owner or person responsible upon whose
property the public display of fireworks is located.
The applicant for a public display of fireworks shall, at the time of
application, submit his license issued by the State Fire Marshall for
inspection. In addition, the application shall submit a Certificate of
Insurance in an amount not less than Fifty Thousand Dollars and One
Million Dollars for each person and event respectively. And not Tess
than Twenty -Five Thousand for property damage liability for each
event and the Certificate of Insurance shall also name, as additional
insured parties, the City of Yakima, its officers and employees
acting in their capacity as agents of the City.

SUMMARY EHPLRNRTION:
Pyro Spectaculars NW has applied for a permit to conduct a special
fireworks display, during half time, at Zaepfel Stadium on October 25,
1996 celebrating Davis High School's homecoming.
A request has been made that the $50 fee be waived, as in past years.
Evidence of liability insurance, state permit and site plan have been
submitted and are on file in the office of Code Administratic i.
The Public Display of Fireworks application complies with the provisions
of Chapter 10.15 of the Yakima Municipal Code.
