MAR 1 c: 1996 r -, - This is the 22nd year for the Yakima School District, and neighboring school districts, to participate in the Yamate Exchange Program with Yamate High School, Yokohama, Japan. This year's program will take place April 11 - 25, with Japanese students visiting Yakima, and July 22 - August 5, with Yakima area students traveling to Japan. On behalf of the 62 Yakima area families hosting 120 Japanese students, between April 11 and 25, I am requesting 125 bus passes for students and chaperones while they visit our city. In the past, by the City of Yakima providing these students and chaperones bus passes, it has allowed our visitors the freedom to shop, visit parks, and attend school while they are in Yakima. Thank you for your consideration. Respectfully, Mary Lynne Brewington Yakima School District Yamate Exchange Program Coordinator We're the closest thing to home.
