On October 8, 2014, the City authorized a contract with MFA to prepare remedial design, permitting and construction oversight for the environmental cleanup of the former Tiger Oil site at 2312 West Nob Hill Boulevard. The amount of the contract for professional services was $230,000. On May 19, 2015, the City authorized Supplement No. 1 of this contract, in an amount not to exceed $55,000 for post interim action professional services. Supplement No. 2 of the professional services agreement (contract no. 2014 -180) is to complete the post interim action professional services required for the former Tiger Oil site located at 2312 West Nob Hill Boulevard. The original monitoring plan included seven (7) monitoring well locations. After the first quarter of monitoring, the Department of Ecology recommended that the number of monitoring well locations be increased to sixteen (16). The increase in the number of required samples to be tested has increased the cost of this work. The funds to pay for this additional work will come from the $300,000 Tiger Oil Insurance Settlement that the City acquired when it purchased the property.
