NOMINATING COMMITTEE MINUTES
July 14, 2016 -- Mayor's Office
Meeting convened at 11:10 a.m.
Council present: Holly Cousens, Bill Lover and Alternate: A. Gutierrez
Staff present: Sonya Claar Tee, City Clerk
The Committee reviewed applications. It was Committee consensus to:
• Reschedule Stacy Hackenmueller and Carmela Solorzano for Parks and Recreation
interviews.
• Review vacancies on the Bike /Ped, Community Integration and Ethis & Equal Rights
Committees at the next meeting.
• To interview Bob Mason, Mercy Buck and Carmela Solorzano for Community Review Board.
• To reappoint Karl Pasten to the Historic Preservation Committee.
MOTION: Lover motion and Cousens seconded to appoint Luz Bazan Gutierrez to the Yakima
Housing Authority Board and ask the Mayor to recuse herself. Mayor Gutierrez agreed to
recuse herself from this recommendation. The motion carried by a 2 -0 vote.
The meeting adjourned at 11:30 a.m.
