Draft Meeting Minutes
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 9:07 am by Patricia Byers.
Roll Call
Members Present: Patricia Byers, John Cooper, Charlie Robin, Kathy Kramer, Sarah Davila, Sara Allen
Members Absent: Luis Gutierrez and Lisa Vallejo
City Staff Present: Rosylen Oglesby, Andrea Rocha and Jennifer Tippett
Others Present: Connie Upton and Rich Austin
Approve minutes of previous meeting
Motion: Charlie moved and Sara A. seconded to approve the previous meeting minutes. The motion carried by unanimous vote.
Staff Report
Jennifer Tippett informed the committee that the lodging tax revenue for the first two months of the year is within 1% of the same period in the previous year. To date, it is 6% under
the 2024 budget.
Board members were reminded of Connie Upton’s 30th year celebration being held in the Kathy Coffey Ballroom on April 24th @ 4:00 pm.
Connie Upton stated that attendance is up 40% as a total and that the convention center is booked from August through December. Rich Austin informed the board that 2023 was a record-breaking
year with $54M in revenue and 65,000 rooms booked. All other members voiced that spring and/or summer of 2024, look like they will be busy.

Motion: Angie made a motion to adjourn and Charlie seconded the motion. The meeting adjourned at 9:26.
