New business Monday April 29, 2024 - Meeting convened at 1:55 p.m, Council present: Chair Deccio, Brown, and Byers Staff present: City Clerk Rosalinda Ibarra and Planning Commission Staff Liaison Eric Crowell • The Council Nominating Committee interviewed the following applicants for the Yakima Planning Commission: o Kenton Gartrell O Philip Ostriem O Dr. Tanya Knickerbocker O Jeff Baker O Shelley (Katherine) White • Wayne Nelson o James Bell — withdrew application o Anne Knapp • Review application for the Tourist Promotion Area © The committee reviewed an application from Cassie Hull, nominated by the Yakima Valley Lodging Association. MOTION: Brown moved and Deccio seconded to recommend appointing Cassie Hull to the Tourist Promotion Area Committee. The motion carried by unanimous vote. The Committee concluded this portion of the meeting at 4:55 p.m, and continued it to May 2, 2024. Thursday May 2, 2024 - Meeting convened at 2:00 p.m. Council present: Chair Deccio, Brown, and Byers Staff present: City Clerk Rosalinda Ibarra and Planning Commission Staff Liaison Eric Crowell • The Council Nominating Committee interviewed the remaining applicants for the Yakima Planning Commission: O Arthur Salido O Tony Sloan o Angie Girard o Ron Anderson O Guadalupe Huitron-Lilly o Kevin Rangel O Dr. Roy Gondo After discussion on the applications, MOTION: Brown moved and Byers seconded to recommend Jeff Baker, Anne Knapp, Philip Ostriem, and Shelley (Katherine) White be appointed to the Yakima Planning Commission. The motion carried by unanimous vote. Adjourn ment - The meeting adjourned at 4:32 p.m.
