RoII CaII Present: Council: Mayor Micah Cawley, presiding, Assistant Mayor Kathy Coffey, Council Members Maureen Adkison, Dave Edler (absent after 9:50 a.m.), Rick Ensey, Dave Ettl (after 9:12 a.m.) and Bill Lover Staff: City Manager Zais, City Attorney Cutter and City Clerk Kloster 2. Chronic Nuisance Properties Ordinance City Attorney Jeff Cutter explained that the draft ordinance provided for Council consideration was modeled after an ordinance recently enacted by the City of Seattle. The proposed ordinance is written to address the existence of certain properties within the city that have been associated with recurring illegal or undesirable occurrences. Council discussed various provisions of the draft ordinance. ACTION: Motion carried to bring this issue forward for a public hearing. VOTE: Unanimous 3. Standing City Council Meetings Assistant Mayor Coffey explained her idea of holding meetings that would allow for free - flowing discussion on issues that were important to Council Members. ACTION: Motion carried to schedule a meeting on April 20, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers to discuss the gang issue, annexation policy and formation of an ad hoc committee to address North First Street improvements. VOTE: Unanimous 4. Audience Comments (10:15 — 10:30 a.m.) None 5. Adjournment — 10:08 a.m. ACTION: Motion carried to adjourn to the Council business meeting on April 6, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. VOTE: Unanimous
