THE CITY OF YAKIMA
OFFICE OF NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
NEEDS YOUR HELP
IN IDENTIFYING COMMUNITY NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED THROUGH
THE INVESTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
FUNDS (CDBG) and HOME FUNDS.
The City of Yakima is writing a five -year Consolidated plan for the use of CDBG and HOME
funds for the years 2010 — 2014 and the 2010 Annual Action Plan. Activities must primarily
benefit persons of low and moderate income, and may include housing, infrastructure,
economic development, community services, neighborhood cleanup, historic preservation, and
more.
The first step in the planning process is to request public input about what needs exist within
the community. A series of public meetings have been scheduled for this purpose.

A thirty (30) day written comment period will also begin on September 29 and end on
October 30, 2009.
