HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/07/1973 Adjourned Meeting i32 DECEMBER 3, 1973 The City Engineer recommending that bid be to'Seals Construction, who submitted the lowest and best bid, it was 'MOVED by Schussler, , seconded by ;Whitaker •that the bid be awarded to Seals Construction Company - in'the amount of $52,585.00 and that the.City Manager be authorized to enter into contract with said :contractor - upon:the'filing of the proper bond and insurance: carried, Broad, Brown, Cole, Edmondson, Holbrook, Schussler and Whitaker voting aye by voice vote. City Manager McMicken referred to'the Certification :by the:City Engineer of the completion of work_ and recommendation work accepted and final payment made on L.I.D. No. 994, Englewood Heights West and Others - Schedule III, it was MOVED by Schussler, seconded by Edmondson that the•report the City Engineer dated December 3,, 1973, with respect to the completion of work on Contract L.I.D. No. 994, Englewood Heights West and Others'Sewer Schedule III, be approved, the'work be accepted and payment - - -of the final estimate as therein set forth is hereby authorized: carried, Broad,., Brown, Cole, Edmondson; Holbrook, Schussler and Whitaker voting aye by voice vote. , There was discussion by the Council on the Council Rules pertaining to Order of Business. Several rearrangements of the agenda were proposed in order to bring matters of greater discussion and audience participation near the top of the agenda. .It noted that in order to effect a permanent change, the City*Attorney will need to prepare appropriate legislation. It was the consensus' of the Council that such a change‘be used on a trial basis fora few weeks. There being no further business.to come before the Council, it was MOVED by Holbrook, seconded by Cole that we do now adjourn-at-the 4:30 P.M.: carried, Broad, Brown, Cole, Edmondson, Holbrook, Schussler and Whitaker voting aye voice vote. Councilmen present at the meeting were Mayor Bert Broad, Wray Brown, Howard C. Cole, Betty L. Edmondson, Ralph Holbrook and Don Schussler. Councilman Whitaker absent. There was a general discussion by the Council concerning the 1974 Budget. No formal action was taken at this time. There being no further business to come before the Council, it was by Cole, seconded by, Holbrook that this meeting be adjourned at t.he of 1:30 P.M.: carried, Broad, Brown,.
