Lombard with a charter membership of 21 to complete this important service workon the locaffevef,• and 'W7 EcREAS, seventy sicWarcissa `Whitman members continue this fine tradition along with the more than one million women who have served in this energetic service organization's mission of promoting historic preservation, education,patriotism andAmericanism; and 'WIFE1cjEAS, Warcissa Whitman daughters volunteer about 3,000 hours of Service to American in `Yakima County communities each year, to benefit local veterans, students, active military personnel, and WMXEREAS, as the Warcissa Whitman Chapter, SISDA&members are celebrating their founding, it is fitting andproper to accord official recognition to this vital organization and its 114th anniversary. NOW, T ERSEcFO9 E, I, Janice Deccio, SYLayor of the City of`Yakima and on behalf of the `Yakima City Council- do hereby proclaim June 19, 2023 as "WVarcissa Whitman Chapter, XSDAc7 (Day" in the City of`Yakima in recognition of this vital organization and to celebrate 114 years of service to America and`Yakima.
