City issue R F Q 12213Q A rchitectural Design & S pace Planning Services from qualified
architectural firms to assist in space planning and design of a new City Hall facility at the B ank of
A merica building, (B O A) which was recently acquired, elements of the current Richard A. Z ais J r.
Center for L aw and J ustice building, the O ND S office building, the existing Yakima City Hall and
the relocation of police training and sensitive police services that is currently housed in a building
that is planned to be repurposed for economic redevelopment.

RESOLUTION NO. R-2023-
A RESOLUTION awarding of RFQ 12213Q and authorizing an agreement with ALSC
Architects for Architectural Design and Space Planning Services.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima seeks to contract with a qualified consulting firm for
architectural design and space planning services for several City own buildings; and
WHEREAS, the project goal is to perform a facility space audit and needs analysis to
develop conceptual design options; and
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima Purchasing Division issued RFQ 12213Q on May 25,
2022, and Statements of Qualifications were received on July 6, 2022, from interested firms;
and
WHEREAS, an Evaluation Committee was formed and all responsive RFQs were
evaluated by the Evaluation Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Evaluation Committee recommends the Contract Award be made to
ALSC Architects and that the City Manager execute the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Scope of Work and Budget included in this Agreement meet the needs
and requirements of the City of Yakima for this project
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The RFQ is hereby awarded and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an
Agreement with ALSC Architects, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, for
Architectural Design and Space Planning Services.
