AN ORDINANCE amending the 2015 budget for the City of Yakima; and making
appropriations of $750 within the 171 – Capitol Theatre Fund, for
expenditure during 2015 to provide for additional costs of recruiting
an executive director.
WHEREAS, the amount of $750 must be appropriated within the 171 – Capitol Theatre
Fund, for expenditure during 2015 to provide for additional costs of recruiting an executive
director, and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 2015 budget it could not reasonably have
been foreseen that the appropriation provided for by this ordinance would be required; and the
City Council declares that an emergency exists of the type contemplated by RCW 35.33.091
and that it is in the best interests of the City to make the appropriation herein provided, now,
therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1: The amount of $750 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund
Balance in the 171 – Capitol Theatre Fund account number 171 2714110 titled "Management
Fees" as a 2015 appropriation.
Section 2: This ordinance is one making an appropriation and shall take effect
immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City
Charter.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
During the course of the recent recruitment effort for a new executive director, the Capitol
Theatre Committee requested additional support from the City in the amount of $750. Since the
contract with the Capitol Theatre Committee stipulates that the amount paid is the approved
budget for that year, the attached ordinance increases the management fee budget by $750.
