ORDINANCE NO. 2004- 83 AN ORDINANCE relating to building codes and related regulation; increasing building permit and plan review fees for the City of Yakima; providing for an automatic annual adjustment of building permit and plan review fees based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the Seattle area; and amending Section 11.04.107.2 and Section 11.04.107.2.1 of Chapter 11.04 the City of Yakima Municipal Code accordingly. Staff has developed the attached legislation for City Council's review and approval. The building permit fees were increased in 2002. This ordinance would increase the permits to help offset the code inspector's partial FTE and other funding short falls to ensure that excellent customer service continues.
